The Distributed Systems Group SiDi of the Instituto Tecnológico de Informática has played a leading role in various research projects with the target to develop dependable system platforms for the construction of massively distributed applications, which enable innovative ways of using information technology systems.

In particular, SiDi is striving to achieve a better understanding of the principles and technologies that can support mobile applications and dependable data replication.
