The Technology Observatory of the ICT sector is a development of ITI aimed at the creation of a Technology Watch system and a Competitive Intelligence system to serve as support for making strategic decisions on innovation of ITI and on the other companies in the sector.

The observatory consists of a series of tools that help capture, categorize, store, analyze, and disseminate technology and market information by displaying it in different ways, both internally and externally, in the following ways:

• Newletters of tehcnological developments, new products, supply and demand of technolgies, events, ect...
• Reports of technologies and products.
• Reports of developments in the IT sector in the Valencian region.
• Reports of technological opportunities, which analyze the state of techniques.
• Maps and Indicators of technological developments, including monitoring the most significant indicators of the productive system.
• Reports on strategic lines of applied R&D.

The Observatory enables ITI to orient its R&D lines focus towards technology trends and to the needs of businesses so they can establish business strategies that increase their competitiveness, market strategies, commercialization, and business plans geared toward exploiting the opportunities and market niches.
